Laser Therapy In certain cases, treatment with lasers may be appropriate for people with colon
cancer, primarily for palliation. These cutting beams of light can reduce the bulk of a tumor causing an obstruction in the bowel and can also be used to stop bleeding. Lasers have not been as successful at relieving pain ( See Laser Therapy ).
